Another sketch challenge

Well, I obviously didn't get to link up the last challenge, but this one is a sketch! I finally finished the card today, but again won't get linked up for a blog hop, so will post independently here. The sketch is as seen here

This card was fun to make - I love using washi tape, even though I'm always looking for new ways to use it. On this card I used it to form the blue "square", and the gold piece behind the tree. So versatile! All products are Stampin Up. I look forward to seeing what Alisa has for our next challenge.

Hope you enjoy, and thanks for looking!

Artful Stampers team challenge blog hop

My first attempt at a blog hop!

Our wonderful team leader, Alisa Tilsner, has been inspiring us with challenges, and this is my first attempt - so there may be mistakes in linking (if I can get that far!).
The colours are delightful and reminded me of my favourite rose, the double delight, so they were my original inspiration.
The card is inspired by Kelly Acheson (found on youtube, under highlight emboss resist).
I had no sparkly silver, so substituted with silver foil cardstock and the frosted sequins.
Stamp sets : I like you (hostess), Papillon Potpourri, Cottage garden (sentiment)
Punch : Bitty butterfly
I know that I have missed the deadline for joining the blog hop, but hope that you enjoyed this card - I certainly loved making it!
Thanks for stopping by.

First Christmas cards

Festival of Trees

After months of family & work taking over life, I have finally had time to spend on making cards again! And am now finding time to add to my blog.
These cards I made in bulk with a friend. They were CASE'd from a card I received in the Artful Stampers September card swap, and made by the talented Jane Riches (her card inspired by Catherine Pooler).
All products are Stampin Up.
The stamp set is Festival of trees , and I used the matching Tree punch (makes it soooo easy to bulk "manufacture"), and the also the 2&1/2"  circle punch, with the 2&3/8" scallop punch.
Card stock is real red, chocolate chip, and brushed gold.
Stamp pads : real red, chocolate chip, pear pizzaz and versamark with gold embossing powder.
I hope you enjoy and thanks for looking.
