I made this card in response to the Case the catty #151 and ended up with a card outside my norm. It is the cute little elf from the Stampin Up retired set Christmas cuties. They were coloured with the new Stampin blends. I don't think I would make kultiples - fussy cutting the leaves was a little time consuming, but I am happy with the end result!</div>

I have coloured these gorgeous Stampin' Up stamps to use for cards later, and finished one card the other day for my Mum. This was finished using Real Red cardstock and a frame leftover from a die-cut rectangle in the Watercolour Christmas project kit.<br />

Hence the cards to send them in snail mail! The first is obviously soon after moving. This is a great set for colouring!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The second card is sent a couple of weeks later, and full of hearts for obvious reasons!</div>

This was not an easy swap for me - I have never celebrated Halloween, and didn't have any suitable images in my stash! So I found this sentiment in Wacky wishes stamp set, and some spooky colours. Quite quick and easy!Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10398932911071695976noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7314482254615115159.post-29147672678603387372016-10-03T02:46:00.002-07:002016-10-03T02:46:22.290-07:00Artful Stamper's swapsAugust swap was a male card, suitable for Father's day. <div>
Male cards are not always easy for me, but I went for my favourite stamp set and neutral colours. It is the Wetlands stamp set - love the "sketchy" feel of these images, and beaches are my relaxing space, so this is an image that resonates in all ways.</div>
<div>
Managed a couple of colour-ways. I usually leave sentiments until I've decided a recipient.<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

The idea is to follow posted instructions daily until the card is completed. So far, we have<br />
1) stamped and cut out an image in particular colours (pink, green and yellow)<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj0OmDqs7NKrZYG3AtK71OyCqTVIAJVMwOM3Z2sY0h3cjwYVVfXTYMbvuCJ7hyphenhyphenNgVV4qHJX2lEzb1sNCWP37zQ_thlz1WZCeUB2LCm3lSsK7g4wuHNOJ-MRFJMiONBsLkaheQQLF0Wtp48/s1600/WP_20160319_007.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="150" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj0OmDqs7NKrZYG3AtK71OyCqTVIAJVMwOM3Z2sY0h3cjwYVVfXTYMbvuCJ7hyphenhyphenNgVV4qHJX2lEzb1sNCWP37zQ_thlz1WZCeUB2LCm3lSsK7g4wuHNOJ-MRFJMiONBsLkaheQQLF0Wtp48/s200/WP_20160319_007.jpg" width="200" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

I don't have any specific Easter stamp sets, so I used the Whacky wishes sentiment, and stamped a background using Flower patch stamps. It was fun, and I will use this method again for very original "dsp"<br />

I turned it on it's side. It was super quick to make this card, and a great way to use up all those scraps that I can't throw away!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I CASE'd this from Alisa Tilsner's blog. The photo has washed out the colours a little, so I am disappointed with that.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjdE8SymDypQAnm87sLaoPuYS6TxJSc_p4pKGW3NdVV3CsGkV6kRM4MttmG857gQ-5J5kvkBec78rFvawRbEXD415t7tRCQMFGbVfTh7l5ogP4Z3G-qXJvRYjRbqf6yAgEDyYm3SuKYaII/s1600/DSC_0065.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjdE8SymDypQAnm87sLaoPuYS6TxJSc_p4pKGW3NdVV3CsGkV6kRM4MttmG857gQ-5J5kvkBec78rFvawRbEXD415t7tRCQMFGbVfTh7l5ogP4Z3G-qXJvRYjRbqf6yAgEDyYm3SuKYaII/s320/DSC_0065.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Having made that card, I was then inspired to make more masculine cards along the same line. (In fact I CASE'd my own card.) The background for all cards was made by using the versatile World traveler embossing folder.</div>

I participated in the card swap again last month, and we have just received the gorgeous cards from the group. After I completed this one, I made a number of others in differing colour themes - not sure which is my favourite! Not a brilliant photo - taken at night with my mobile! I hope you enjoyed, and thanks for stopping by.<br />

I can see myself using it for Christmas cards this year.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I turned it on it's side, used Stampin' Up stamp sets : Gifts of kindness, Gorgeous grunge, Butterfly basics, Ink pads and card stock :Tip top taupe and watermelon wonder, and very vanilla cardstock. Quite quick and simple, once I had decided what to use. Hopefully I will get back a little more frequently in future, but I hope you enjoyed this card, and thanks for looking.</div>

The Artful Stampers have continued to hold weekly challenges, and I have finally completed one, although I am so computer illiterate that I haven't worked out how to join in the challenge blog hop - maybe one day my daughter will have time to show me.<div>
The gorgeous colours were as below, and I used the free sale-abration stamp set lotus blossum for the first time - a beautiful set. </div>
<div>
Thanks for looking, and I hope you enjoyed. I may even get back in the next day or two to share another project.<br /><div>

I finally finished the card today, but again won't get linked up for a blog hop, so will post independently here.The sketch is as seen here<a href="https://fbcdn-sphotos-h-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-xpf1/t31.0-8/p640x640/1961029_10152902677693487_4883050316645910070_o.jpg" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://fbcdn-sphotos-h-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-xpf1/t31.0-8/p640x640/1961029_10152902677693487_4883050316645910070_o.jpg" width="281" /></a><br />
<br />
This card was fun to make - I love using washi tape, even though I'm always looking for new ways to use it. On this card I used it to form the blue "square", and the gold piece behind the tree. So versatile! All products are Stampin Up. I look forward to seeing what Alisa has for our next challenge.<br />

<h2>
My first attempt at a blog hop!</h2>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Our wonderful team leader, Alisa Tilsner, has been inspiring us with challenges, and this is my first attempt - so there may be mistakes in linking (if I can get that far!).</span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">The colours are delightful and reminded me of my favourite rose, the double delight, so they were my original inspiration.</span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">The card is inspired by Kelly Acheson (found on youtube, under highlight emboss resist). </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgD9nqRncor43Ek-7dGy7qejXFSXDXeu7CSK0q6YQsrJ64PNSfRAx3dzxNPvzDKFUMHNTzGnfEJcG6OQr6gXkDCB1qVsCO2YHCKYId6u-LzsStEDiB0CuPqSa2hZnRAOGw6fIevIOUngzY/s1600/DSC_1382.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgD9nqRncor43Ek-7dGy7qejXFSXDXeu7CSK0q6YQsrJ64PNSfRAx3dzxNPvzDKFUMHNTzGnfEJcG6OQr6gXkDCB1qVsCO2YHCKYId6u-LzsStEDiB0CuPqSa2hZnRAOGw6fIevIOUngzY/s1600/DSC_1382.JPG" height="320" width="213" /></a></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">I had no sparkly silver, so substituted with silver foil cardstock and the frosted sequins.</span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Stamp sets : I like you (hostess), Papillon Potpourri, Cottage garden (sentiment)</span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Punch : Bitty butterfly</span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"> I know that I have missed the deadline for joining the blog hop, but hope that you enjoyed this card - I certainly loved making it!</span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Thanks for stopping by.</span></div>

Festival of Trees</h2>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjJZex_d1Jz0TzPonUdUiNtGKC7nPPh8ogSktKf8Dzpo4KiyAazE8bxCWsZALydHBB1IA1ORk1EPJM34OG21MkBaH4CVke3UwRd67quCPd6qbS3ECwVR2zIqcSNKtRvQbThppGA6rBguSY/s1600/DSC_1378.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjJZex_d1Jz0TzPonUdUiNtGKC7nPPh8ogSktKf8Dzpo4KiyAazE8bxCWsZALydHBB1IA1ORk1EPJM34OG21MkBaH4CVke3UwRd67quCPd6qbS3ECwVR2zIqcSNKtRvQbThppGA6rBguSY/s1600/DSC_1378.JPG" height="213" width="320" /></a></div>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">After months of family & work taking over life, I have finally had time to spend on making cards again! And am now finding time to add to my blog.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">These cards I made in bulk with a friend. They were CASE'd from a card I received in the Artful Stampers September card swap, and made by the talented Jane Riches (her card inspired by Catherine Pooler).</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">All products are Stampin Up. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">The stamp set is Festival of trees , and I used the matching Tree punch (makes it soooo easy to bulk "manufacture"), and the also the 2&1/2" circle punch, with the 2&3/8" scallop punch.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"> Card stock is real red, chocolate chip, and brushed gold.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Stamp pads : real red, chocolate chip, pear pizzaz and versamark with gold embossing powder.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">I hope you enjoy and thanks for looking.</span>Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10398932911071695976noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7314482254615115159.post-1489295477725698822014-06-21T20:35:00.000-07:002014-06-21T20:35:15.473-07:00Special birthday cardMy eldest grandson is 8 years old today! Where did that time go? Sawyer loves his lego, so having seen lego cards on Pinterest, I had to make him one - although the lego he loves is Technic, he does still enjoy making things from basic bricks.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Happy Birthday Sawyer !<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhM21CKM0QOODARxaj0rHq3b9GPOkuBIcKrhNa_nFwwZ04uwHWqgUj9txtTqI66PyxNY1ujevxBGFAvjoRUNCE-5QryNgTe_HEO9nfYT2ZrlqyPKmkgED5SN70LMnDYPo2_KS6buTGE3aY/s1600/DSC_1101.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhM21CKM0QOODARxaj0rHq3b9GPOkuBIcKrhNa_nFwwZ04uwHWqgUj9txtTqI66PyxNY1ujevxBGFAvjoRUNCE-5QryNgTe_HEO9nfYT2ZrlqyPKmkgED5SN70LMnDYPo2_KS6buTGE3aY/s1600/DSC_1101.JPG" height="320" width="213" /></a>Happy Birthday Sawyer !</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Each block was cut with Stampin up punches - 1" square, and the 3/8" circle - 4 layers of each to build dimension. A little fiddly, but fun to do on a cold night in front of the telly by the fire.</div>

<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Time for another post. I had fun making a card for my wonderful Mum for mother's day recently. The card I made for her used the Stampin' Up blue watercolour wonder dsp as the background, the white embossed card had pansies punched from it, then into these shapes were placed smaller punched flowers in co-ordinating cardstock, with basic pearls at the centre. A small punched butterfly completed the card. As I make most of my cards in a generic mode, I made another in the beautiful yellow dsp for a special friend. I saw a similar card somewhere on the internet, but I can't remember where, to credit the original - apologies! I plan to make more to have in my stash. Thanks for stopping by.</span><br />Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10398932911071695976noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7314482254615115159.post-41782990050014819732014-01-27T03:00:00.001-08:002014-01-27T03:00:16.975-08:00welcomeHello everyone, and welcome to my blog. This will be chiefly used to post about my passions - family, and papercrafting. This first photo is of a card I developed for a Stampin' Up challenge run by the very talented Alisa Tilsner for the upcoming Saleabration and Occasions catalogue launch party. The challenge included a sketch, and a colour challenge. It was fun to finish a card for the enjoyment.<br />
